WHY I DO WHAT I DO
I have always been drawn to self-discovery and teaching. My own journey of self-awareness and healing in my early 20’s opened me to the opportunity and experience of working with others in the healing arts. I was perpetually intrigued with human development and transformation which led me to continually explore evermore deeply the fields of psychology, philosophy and wisdom traditions. Integrating the teachings and wisdom of these thought leaders pushed and pulled me into new opportunities. And in 2008 I discovered the theory and teachings of Adult Development, researched and pioneered by Dr. Susanne Cook-Greuter. It was truly a transformational moment in my career. It allowed me to see and work within a framework that reframed challenges and tensions from “pathologies” into actual opportunities for transformation. It forever changed the way I worked in my psychotherapy practice as well as opening me to the fields of Personal and Executive Coaching. I have always felt honored to work closely with another, to share the journey to one’s essential and unique self. I am inspired by the work of Adult and Leadership Development, it seems to hold the next great need and step for the leaders of today and ultimately for humankind.
